The 5 things (there is more but i don't like bragging, and the sheet DID say 5) I am good at on maths is ratios, multiplication working form, division working form, and the powers (you know, 5 to the power of 4 and stuff like that). But I have my weaknesses, too. For example, I don't know how to divide fractions, and I don't know much about algebra (ok, so I don't know anything about algebra, but who cares?). what i learnt

Last week i found out how to video the screen without a camera. You need a application that is called camtasia (camstudio stuffed up the computer and it woudn't work) where you can record the screen. getting started with it is quite a mouthful. you have to remove all tabs, change background photo, only have the record button on and whatever you are recording, etc etc etc. But now i have it so i can do my passion project!

holidays

I had quite a good holiday,doing all sorts of things around wellington. Laserforce, zoo, going to my parent's work- it was some routine! i also had a sleepover with a kid from my OLD SCHOOL called quinn. I hardly took any car! it was mainly train and bus. But for the other days, i just laid back and relax at home.

Passion project

I don't know what to do for the passion project, for i don't know what to achieve. I was thinking about doing a tutorial on minecraft, but i just don't feel i will achieve anything. Do you think i should do the tutorial? Or have you got a better idea? Please comment on this on ideas.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

On a night when harry has to leave his home, terror strikes. After a broomstick ride, Harry discovers that Tom Riddle's diary is a 'Horcrux', and that there are six more to find. So they travel all around the U.K. to find them. You get lots of suprises in this book and also an epic battle! There is betrayl in it as well.

I rate this book 4 1/2 stars because it starts out not so good, but gets better as you go. But it is best to read the first 6 books first.

we came 15th as shown and north korea (democratic people's republic of korea) was 5th in the middle of the olympics then dropped down to 20th

olympics

my favourite sport in the olympics (no suprise!) is hockey. the reason why is because of all that skill manouvering the ball, smacking the ball and the goalie saving miraculous shots. also because it's amazing how hard they hit the ball. It's like (i have already said it) soccer, but you use sticks, the ball is concrete and small, you can only shoot from inside the circle, and goalies need padding.

my obsession (of course) is minecraft! it is a fun survival game where you can build houses, kill monsters and eat! and if you dont like monsters you can do creative!

Production roles

I am part of the props crew because I didn't enter for anyone (plus i'm handy at props!). i'm also part of the dance 'I need a hero'.

My holidays

In the holidays I went to Sydney. It was amazing! The double decker trains were disgusting but the futuristic monorail was worth the ride! The best bit of my amazing adventure in Sydney was going to Manly beach. It was tourists galore! There were Japanese, Malaysian, New Zealanders and more! Also a favourite part was seeing my nephew Zac. 2 days before I went back, my sister and mum went to Europe! So I have to wait till the 29th of July for them to come back! And that was my holiday.

This is a piece of work that i'm proud of:
Banana muffins serves 12
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 150g melted butter, 2tbspn of golden syrup,2 teaspoons of vanilla essence, 3/4 cup mashed banana and 2 eggs

Method: First grease your muffin tins, or use muffin tin lines. Sift your flour into a clean bowl, and sift baking powder and baking soda too. Make a well (hole) in the centre and melt the syrup with butter. Put in some vanilla essence and bananas to the well. Next crack some eggs into the well. Pour the butter mixture into the baking and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into the muffin tins/liners. Put in the oven at 220 degrees for 12 minutes, or the skewer comes out clean. Serve on plates and voila.

The transit of venus

On wednesday the 5th June there was the transit of venus. But, sadly, the clouds blocked it. If you live to see it again (good luck!) hope it's not cloudy! The tip of NZ to Taupo and Christchurch to Bluff could see it though!
 

Hockey

My hobby is hockey. It's a sport that's pretty similar to soccer but you play with sticks, the goalie is padded up, the ball is small and hard and there are lots of different rules.
Can you guess if you're allowed to use a foot? If you are correct I will congratulate you.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I – WANT – TO – TALK – TO – HARRY – POTTER!”, mystery- Aunt Marge started swelling up-, and one of the world’s most famous fiction character at it’s best!

You’ll never be able to drop the book for even dinner (proven fact; it happened to me) or fireworks! I recommend it a 5 star book for all ages, from 7 to 100! If you’re unsure then READ IT because it’s the best book ever, with lots of surprises! There are 6 other books, from Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone, to Harry Potter and the deathly hallows.

This story I wrote in rapid writing:

"What's that strange thing in your bag?" Ryan asked toby.
" Oh, that's just a..." He paused. ".....A torch that I left on!
Something was suspicious, and Ryan knew it.
"No, really Toby. What's in your bag?"
Toby showed me. It was some strange orb that has a mouth moving up and down.
"Arrrrrrgghhh! Throw it away!" Ryan shouted as he attempted to grab it and throw it away.
The next few minutes they were fighting for the glowing orb, shouting things like "Give it to me!" and "Give up! I'm stronger!'
Finally Ryan managed to get it out of Toby's hands, throw it out of the window and throw the orb away.
" There, that's settled!"
But little did Ryan know what would happen next.

This holidays I went to a spot on the waikato river in between Taupo and Rotorua. We know a man who owns a house over there so he invited us, a man called Neil (I call him perky because of his last name Perkinson) and Megan. We tested out pierre's new garage which has a table tennis table, a air hockey table, darts, pool and table soccer. The next day we got out on the boat and did some water skiing. Then we went in the hot pool. The next few days repeated. One day the man who drives along to put his boat away. Then Pierre (the house owner) showed him the beer (classic.) . So he had  beer and thought that maybe my mum, my sister and I could have a ride back to the boat dock. At one point he let me drive the boat (no kidding) . Last as you all know we have to leave.

The rest of the holidays was relaxing, going to my parent's work and inviting my friends. But overall, my favourite part of the holiday was driving the riverjet.
